Poultry Process Workers

Our client is seeking casual staff that is willing to work early mornings 1 -5 shifts a week , you must have a good understanding of Food Handling processes as you will be working with raw poultry materials. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable working with raw products and are not available for 6am starts.
We are seeking experienced Chicken Hangers and chicken line workers for on-call casual shifts in Keysborough. There will be some opportunity for overtime, and would suit staff looking for 1-5 shifts per week. These positions start at 6am daily, and are on-call.

This role will be physically demanding and best suited to individuals with proven experience in live bird handling or working with meat or poultry processing.

You will be working with live poultry stock, performing repetitive movements which may require manual handling and lifting. This is a fast pace environment and can be cold.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently hang live chickens onto the processing line in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain a consistent work pace while meeting production targets.
• Handle poultry in line with animal welfare standards and workplace policies.
• Work effectively in a cold, fast-paced production environment with exposure to feathers, dust, and odours.
• Assist with cleaning duties, equipment upkeep, and end-of-shift sanitation requirements.
• Always follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in chicken hanging or a poultry processing environment is essential.
• A current resume with recent, contactable work references.
• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights (visa sponsorship is not available).
• Excellent physical fitness with the ability to perform repetitive manual tasks in a demanding environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
