Building Better Brains is growing, and we're looking for a Paediatric Speech Therapist to join our warm, collaborative multidisciplinary team.
The best part? You won't be starting from scratch. We already have many families waiting for Speech Therapy support, so there is an existing caseload ready to build around your availability, interests and clinical strengths.

You'll have the opportunity to:Step into an existing paediatric caseload rather than spending months building one from scratchChoose a schedule that works for you, with flexibility around your preferred days and hoursWork alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team including Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, Play Therapy and Therapy AssistantsCollaborate with other clinicians around shared clients and goalsWork in a child-centred, strengths-based, neuro-affirming and trauma-informed environmentDevelop creative, individualised therapy programs based on each child's interests, strengths and needsAccess opportunities for professional collaboration, team meetings and professional developmentHave the autonomy of a contractor while still being part of a connected and supportive team
About the roleYou'll work with children and young people across a range of communication needs, with opportunities to support:Language and communication developmentSocial communication and interactionSpeech and articulationFunctional communicationSocial skillsNeurodivergent children and young peopleFamily education and supportAssessment and ongoing progress monitoring
You'll be responsible for conducting assessments, developing personalised therapy programs, delivering engaging sessions, maintaining clinical documentation and collaborating with families and other professionals.
There is flexibility around caseload and session structure, and we're happy to discuss what would work best for you.
About youWe're looking for a Speech Therapist who:Has experience working with children, particularly within paediatric and/or neurodivergent populationsIs qualified as a Speech Pathologist/Therapist in AustraliaIs registered with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)Brings a flexible, creative and child-centred approach to therapyValues neuro-affirming and trauma-informed practiceIs confident working independently while enjoying collaboration with a multidisciplinary teamHas strong communication, professionalism and ethical practiceHolds a current WWCC and Police CheckHas their own ABN and professional indemnity insurance
