About the role

G Brothers is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our Mercedes-Benz dealership on Sydney's North Shore and Northern Beaches. This is a full-time position based at our service centre, where you will be the crucial link between our valued customers and our highly skilled technical team. As a Service Advisor, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service whilst ensuring the smooth operation of our service department. Your expertise in automotive services and genuine passion for customer satisfaction will directly contribute to maintaining G Brothers' reputation for excellence in luxury vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting customers and conducting thorough consultations to understand their vehicle service and repair requirements

• Preparing detailed repair orders with accurate customer information and vehicle specifications

• Providing transparent cost estimates and explaining recommended services in clear, professional language

• Coordinating with workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of vehicle servicing and repairs

• Following up with customers regarding service progress and notifying them of any additional work requirements

• Processing customer payments and managing invoicing for completed services

• Maintaining accurate service records and documentation in accordance with dealership procedures

• Scheduling appointments and maintaining the dealer managment system to optimise utilisation

• Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty

• Staying informed about Mercedes-Benz vehicle specifications, products and models

• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations within the service centre

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Service Advisor or similar customer-facing role within an automotive environment, preferably in luxury vehicle dealerships

• Strong knowledge of automotive services, maintenance schedules and repair procedures relevant to Mercedes-Benz or similar European vehicles

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information to customers in an accessible manner

• Proficiency in service management software and computer systems commonly used in automotive dealerships

• Ability to multitask effectively whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail in documentation and order processing

• Customer service excellence with a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding experiences

• Professional appearance and demeanor befitting a premium luxury brand

• Problem-solving abilities and capability to handle customer concerns diplomatically and constructively

• A valid driver's licence and willingness to operate customer vehicles for testing purposes

• Desirable: Certification or training in automotive service advisory or light vehicle mechanical technology
