About The Role

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to join our Charcoal Cook team for our upcoming restaurant in Granville. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the El Jannah experience, responsible for preparing and cooking our signature charcoal chicken safely, consistently and to recipe standards. You’ll play a key role in delivering the quality and authenticity our guests expect every time they visit. No previous experience is required. Full training is provided on the job, making this a great opportunity for someone keen to learn, build skills and be trusted with a key station in the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate the charcoal pit safely and efficiently Cook charcoal chicken to El Jannah quality standards Portion and prepare chicken for service Maintain high food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards Keep the charcoal station and surrounding work areas clean and organised Support smooth service flow during busy periods Work closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience the EJ Way

What We’re Looking For

A strong work ethic and positive attitude Willingness to learn and follow procedures Attention to detail and pride in quality work Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment A team-first mindset with respectful communication Availability to work flexible rosters, including evenings and weekends Previous fast food or kitchen experience is helpful but not essential
