ABOUT THE ROLE:

As our next FMS Technology & Communications Technician, reporting to the Autonomy & Technology Superintendent, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

The Lake Vermont Coal Project is situated in Dysart, North Queensland.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Develop, install and commission various wifi, radio and wireless systems.Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of the following systems:Fleet Monitoring SystemsSite telecommunicationsWifi links & wireless networksAutonomous fleet networksWork safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management SystemRespond to breakdowns on site FMS and autonomous equipment and networksSource technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systemsEnsure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all timesConduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilization

At least 5 years industry experience with fleet monitoring systems and telecommunications.A proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of a world-class team to deliver excellence for our clients A genuine interest in building a career with Thiess Verified skills list (training transcripts)Current Standard 11  Current drivers licenceRelevant coal mining certifications A commitment to a positive safety culture Alignment to our principles, Integrity, Accountability, Innovation & Delivery
