The Opportunity
Cochlear is looking for a Manufacturing Data & Analytics Manager to lead the Manufacturing Insights team within Global Manufacturing Operational Excellence, delivering data, analytics, and visualisation capabilities that enable consistent, high-quality decision-making across Cochlear's global manufacturing network.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining data science, data visualisation, and people leadership, with a strong focus on delivery and capability uplift.
This is a permanent full-time role based in our global headquarters in Macquarie University.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the delivery of manufacturing data, analytics, and visualisation solutions, including standardised dashboards and reporting frameworksTranslate business needs into scalable data products and actionable insights supporting operational performance and Continuous ImprovementDrive delivery of the Operational Excellence Strategy data and insights components aligned to business prioritiesIdentify and implement improvements in data pipelines, analytics approaches, and visualisation practicesChampion the value of data and insights across manufacturing stakeholdersEnable adoption of self-service analytics and standardised data sources across global sitesApply and embed data governance, data quality, and data management practices within manufacturingAttract, develop, and retain the best team to deliver Cochlear's current and future business objectives
About You
As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:Experience developing business measures and metrics for descriptive, diagnostic and predictive analyticsExperience with Sonar, Snowflake and TableauExperience in data science, analytics, or data engineering within complex environmentsStrong hands-on capability in data visualisation and data storytellingExperience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions (data → insight → visualisation)Demonstrated experience in building and leading a data analytics team.Experience applying data governance and data quality principlesAbility to translate operational problems into data-driven insightsStrong stakeholder engagement and influencing skillsExposure to ERP transformations (e.g., S4/HANA environments) is idealLean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence exposure is preferred
