Join the UWA Student Guild Café Team
On-campus roles | Monday–Friday | Flexible Hours
We are seeking motivated, customer-focused café staff to join our vibrant on-campus hospitality team. These roles are ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced café environment, take pride in quality coffee and service, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
Available Positions
1. Café All-Rounder (Casual)
25–30 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
· Support Café Supervisor with day-to-day café operations
· Deliver high-quality barista service
· Work across front of house and kitchen support
· Maintain strong customer service standards
· Ensure cleanliness, food safety, and smooth service flow
About You (Key Selection Criteria)
· Demonstrated experience in a busy café or hospitality venue
· Barista skills (essential)
· Confident working across FOH and BOH operations
· Food Handling Certificate, or willing to obtain
· Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Salary: Negotiated based on experience
2. EOI – Café Barista / Food & Beverage Attendant (Casual)
15–25 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare coffee and beverages to standard
· Provide excellent customer service and guest experience
· Assist with food preparation and service
· Maintain café cleanliness and presentation
· Support team during peak service periods
About You (Key Selection Criteria)
· Experience in hospitality, café, or customer service roles (preferred)
· Basic barista experience (training available)
· Food handler Certificate, or willing to obtain
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including good English proficiency
· Positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
