Senior/Associate Mechanical Engineer - Tier 1 Consultancy

Ask anyone who's worked here what made them stay, and it's rarely the pay.

It's the projects. Buildings people recognise without being told the name. Infrastructure other firms study after the fact. Engineers who move here tend to stop applying anywhere else - the retention numbers speak for themselves in an industry known for musical chairs.

This is a senior or associate-level opening in the Mission Critical team, focused on data centres and healthcare - the two sectors where mechanical failure isn't an inconvenience, it's headline news. You'll be trusted from concept through to construction oversight and commissioning, not handed a slice and told to stay in your lane.

Depending on level, you'll run projects with minimal supervision, lead technical delivery on high-risk major works, or step into both. You'll mentor junior engineers, represent the business in front of clients and authorities, and have real input into how work gets won, not just delivered. Fee proposals, scope negotiation, client relationships - all part of the job, not someone else's.

The firm is employee-owned. That changes the incentives. Decisions get made on quality and long-term reputation, not what keeps a parent company happy in London or New York. It shows in how projects are run and who gets listened to.

You'll need significant mechanical engineering experience in a consulting environment, ideally with mission critical exposure already under your belt - data centres, healthcare, or something adjacent with the same stakes. If you want a firm that trades on hype, this isn't it. If you want your name attached to work that actually gets talked about in ten years, it's hard to find a better one.
