About the role
At Spanlift, we design and build high-quality Structural Steel Sheds in Australia. We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to join our Operations Team and play a critical role in ensuring projects run smoothly from procurement through to delivery.
About the Role
As our Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator, you'll be responsible for sourcing materials and services, coordinating deliveries, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting project teams with procurement and logistics administration. You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure materials arrive on time and projects stay on track.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement
Raise and manage purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
Source quality materials and services while securing the best value.
Obtain and assess supplier quotations.
Review and approve invoices for goods and services.
Monitor procurement budgets and purchasing records.
Support procurement activities across multiple construction projects.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
Coordinate deliveries to our workshops, and construction sites.
Ensure materials and services are delivered in line with project schedules.
Communicate delivery requirements and updates with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Resolve supply chain and delivery issues quickly and effectively.
Subcontractor & Project Administration
Maintain supplier and subcontractor records, including licences and insurance documentation.
Assist with subcontractor agreements, RFQs, scopes of work, and erector packs.
Manage subcontractor and customer variations and ensure company systems remain up to date.
Maintain accurate procurement, compliance, and project documentation.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Follow company quality, safety, environmental, and document control procedures.
Issue and follow up non-conformances to resolution.
Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
About You
You are a detail-oriented and organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
To be successful, you'll have:
Experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, administration, or supply chain coordination.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and business systems.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience in the construction industry is advantageous but not essential.
