About the role

This role is responsible for delivering a range of arboreal services ensuring Parramatta’s Street trees, parks, bushlands and open spaces are maintained and improved enhancing the appearance of our great city. 

We deliver reliable, high‑quality services for our community. You’ll be part of a supportive “One Council” team where safety, teamwork and accountability guide how we work.

In this role you will: 

• Drive and operate Truck for the tree operations team. 
• Plant operation including chippers, stump grinders and other small plant.
• Work within the scope of acceptable practices of the Horticulture and Arboriculture. 
• Undertake tasks as directed and adapt to changing priorities and workloads, prioritising emergency works. 

What’s on offer

We offer a competitive salary from $68,446 to $75,372.52 plus 12% superannuation.

This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2026 this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Allowance.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, have a great attention to detail, and have excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within the team. 

Qualifications:  

To be considered for this role, you must meet the essential requirements in the Position Description, including the below Qualifications/Licences:

• Current NSW MR Truck Drivers Licence
• White Card
• Chainsaw Operation Certificate
