The Switchboard Builder will assemble and wire commercial and industrial electrical switchboards in accordance with engineering drawings, standards, and safety requirements. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mounting and installing components, performing wiring and termination work, and conducting quality checks and basic functional testing. The role also involves collaborating with fellow board builders and management, maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment, and supporting continuous improvement in production processes. The successful candidate will contribute to meeting project deadlines while upholding Master Electrical’s quality and safety standards.Qualifications Strong practical skills in electrical assembly, switchboard building, or panel wiring, with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.Knowledge of relevant electrical standards, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial and industrial installations.Experience using hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and workshop machinery safely and effectively.Attention to detail and quality-focused approach, including accurate wiring, neat layout, and thorough inspection of completed work.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a workshop environment and follow instructions clearly.Good time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced production setting.Practical experience in switchboard or panel building.Understanding of modular design concepts and experience in commercial or industrial electrical projects is highly regarded.Commitment to workplace health and safety, including consistent use of PPE and adherence to company safety policies.
