ABOUT THE ROLE

As an essential part of the team at MESHKI, a Warehouse Assistant in our Goods In Department plays a crucial role in supporting efficient stock management, secure operations, and effective cross-departmental collaboration. You will play a key role within the inventory team, communicating closely with departments such as Dispatch, Returns, and Production. This position requires individuals to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring strong attention to detail.

We are seeking immediately available casual staff with availability Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 4.30pm, and Saturdays from 7:00am to 11:30am. Additional availability for afternoon and night shifts during November–December is required. Due to fluctuating business needs, successful candidates should be flexible across the week, with preferred availability on Fridays. This position will be based at our MESHKI Distribution Centre located in Turrella.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

● Assist in unloading deliveries and containers, verifying physical carton counts against packing list documentation

● Accurately process inbound stock into the PVX system, ensuring quantities, SKUs and barcodes match shipment data

● Identify and document any short-shipments, overages or damages at the point of entry and escalate to the Team Lead

● Execute the movement of processed stock into designated pick locations 

● Collaborate with other warehouse team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment

● Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including packing, shipping, cycle counting, consolidation and receiving

● Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

● Prior experience in a warehouse; logistics or retail environment preferred

● Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet daily KPIs

● Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand or sit for extended periods

● Strong attention to detail and accuracy

● Excellent organisational skills

● Basic computer skills

● Team player with good communication skills

● Availability Monday to Friday (Fridays a must), 7am-4.30pm & Saturday 7-11:30am

● Valid Forklift License (LF) is highly preferred, though not mandatory
