Procurement Officer

We're looking for a Procurement Officer to join our purchasing and procurement operations. If you enjoy working with people, systems, suppliers and solving problems before they become issues, this is the perfect role for you.

What You'll Be Doing 

Procurement & Purchasing

• Supporting the purchasing and procurement teams with day-to-day administration
• Managing purchase orders from creation through to completion
• Monitoring overdue purchase orders and ensuring goods and services are received on time
• Proactively expediting supplier deliveries and resolving purchasing issues before they impact operations
• Managing the purchasing inbox and telephone enquiries

Vendor Management

• Coordinating vendor onboarding and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant
• Maintaining accurate vendor records and ensuring ongoing system compliance
• Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Systems & Data

• Maintaining system data and parts catalogues
• Keeping contract management systems accurate and up to date
• Ensuring procurement information is current, compliant and reliable

Finance Support

• Working closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Assisting with the smooth Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process
• Helping ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time

What We're Looking For 

•  Minimum 3 years' experience in administration
•  Completion of Year 12 equivalent secondary education
•  Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
•  Strong organisational and time management abilities
•  Ability to prioritise competing workloads
•  High attention to detail
•  Confident using Microsoft Office and business systems

Highly Regarded

• Experience within procurement or purchasing
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or JDE
• Certificate in Business, Commerce or Supply Chain
