About the RoleAre you a hands-on all-rounder who takes pride in keeping a property running smoothly? We're looking for a reliable Maintenance person to join our hotel team and play a key role in keeping our guest rooms, public areas, and facilities safe, functional, and looking their best.
This is a practical, varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be the go-to person for repairs and upkeep across the property, working closely with housekeeping, front office, and guests to resolve issues quickly and professionally — all while enjoying family-friendly part-time hours with your afternoons free.
What You'll Be DoingResponding promptly to maintenance requests from guests, housekeeping, and front office, prioritising urgent issues in occupied rooms
Repairing plumbing fixtures (taps, toilets, showers, drains) and electrical fittings (lamps, switches, outlets)
Maintaining doors, locks, furniture, curtains, blinds, and fixtures throughout the property
Painting, patching, tiling, grouting, and caulking as needed
Carrying out the hotel's scheduled preventative maintenance program across guest rooms, plant equipment, and public areas
Conducting regular inspections and documenting and correcting deficiencies
Keeping accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records
Coordinating with external service contractors when specialist work is required
Practical, proven skills across multiple trades — plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting
A courteous, guest-focused manner and a professional presentation
Reliability and the ability to work independently, managing your own priorities
Confidence using hand and power tools, ladders, and maintenance chemicals safely with appropriate PPE
Good record-keeping habits and attention to detail
Highly regarded: A trade certificate or licence in a relevant field (e.g. electrical or plumbing)
