Management Accountant

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in Welshpool.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting and transactional processes from record to report. Working closely with operational teams, you will support the near real-time capture and translation of financial transactions while delivering meaningful financial insights to support business performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting
• Process journals accurately and on time for revenue and expense recognition
• Analyse financial performance, including trend and variance analysis against budget and forecast
• Monitor key operational costs including fuel, maintenance and driver wages
• Prepare KPI analysis and provide financial insights and recommendations to management
• Support end-of-month close and reconciliation activities
• Extract, translate and integrate sub-system data into Centurion's ERP
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes
• Provide support to the Manager – Management Accounting, and Group Financial Controller

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
• A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline
• CPA or CA qualification
• Strong foundational accounting knowledge and technical capability including strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with large financial datasets, systems and processes to deliver accurate and timely reporting
• The ability to build a strong understanding of business operations and align financial outcomes accordingly
• Experience with Microsoft D365 highly regarded
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to your work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business
