Centre Cook

Are you passionate about cooking and love the idea of making a difference in the lives of young children?

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and caring Cook to join our Kitchen Team.

As our Part-Time Cook, you will work alongside our Chef and Kitchen Hand to:

• Support with daily food preparation and cooking.

• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children throughout the day.

• Cater to a range of dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances.

• Follow safe food handling, hygiene and food safety practices.

• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen.

• Assist with menu preparation and meal planning.

• Ensure meals are prepared safely and appropriately for different age groups.

• Communicate effectively with educators and management regarding dietary requirements.

• Contribute to creating positive and enjoyable mealtimes for our children.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for cooking and preparing nutritious meals.

• Has knowledge and understanding of safe food handling and food safety practices.

• Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.

• Works well as part of a supportive team.

• Takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

• Experience in food preparation and cooking.

• Knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices.

• Ability to cater for a variety of allergies and dietary requirements.

• Current Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one.

• Holds current Geccko Child Safety certifications, or willing to obtain.

• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of our team.
