The Role
XBURO is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing Sydney office.
The role is suited to an experienced project management professional who possesses strong technical, design coordination, programming, financial competency with a client focus. This is fantastic opportunity for someone who is an experienced PM/SPM Looking to step up into a Project Director role.
You will manage projects from feasibility and design through procurement, construction and handover, while helping drive XBURO’s engineering and project-management capability in NSW.
Responsibilities
Delivery of projects on time, to budget and to the highest quality.
Support the identification and pursuit of new opportunities and clients.
Provide support, mentoring and development of staff.
Managing the interests of the business in line with strategic objectives.
Contributing to the growth of our unique culture in XBURO.
Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants and contractors.
Undertake design management and technical reviews.
Possess a high degree of attention to detail in preparation and review of reports, minutes, risk registers and project documentation.
Administer contracts, including progress claims, variations and extensions of time.
Review technical submissions, designs and contractor documentation.
Build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Deliver practical, high-quality and solutions-focused outcomes.
Skills and Experience
Degree qualified in engineering, construction management, project management or a related field.
Approximately 8–10 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience in project management, design management or engineering coordination.
Experienced in delivering complex projects in live environments under a range of procurement and contract models including: ECI, MCC, GC21 and Australian Standards
Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder-management skills.
The ability to work flexibly, autonomously, and as part of a team
Experience in healthcare, defence, hospitality, commercial property new builds and refurbishment would be advantageous.

You will be practical, commercially aware and comfortable working across project delivery and engineering.
You will enjoy taking ownership, working with clients and contributing to the growth of a developing XBURO’s Sydney office.
