About the role
Shoalhaven Veterinary Group is a proudly independent, locally owned veterinary practice providing high-quality small animal veterinary care throughout the Shoalhaven.
Our growing Practice now includes five locations across the region – Bomaderry, North Nowra, Jervis Bay, Shoalhaven Heads and Curleys Bay. We have a highly dedicated team of veterinary professionals supported by modern facilities and equipment, and are committed to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding service to our clients.
About the Position
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our growing team on a casual basis. The role will initially be based at Bomaderry Veterinary Hospital, with the opportunity to work across our other Practices from time to time.
It is envisaged that the role will involve either morning or full-day shifts, approximately one to two days per week, as well as providing leave coverage for other reception staff from time to time. Weekend shifts will also be required on a rotating basis.
You will be responsible for:
Greeting clients and communicating patient arrivals and emergencies to clinical staff
Finalising invoices, processing client payments and balancing the till
Assisting clients with enquiries and providing exceptional customer service
Maintaining a clean and welcoming front-of-house environment
Completing a variety of administrative tasks
Supporting the broader Practice team as required
About You
The successful applicant will have, and be able to demonstrate, the following:
A friendly, positive and welcoming demeanour
A well-presented and professional approach, with a genuine desire to provide high levels of client service
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
The ability to work efficiently, calmly and with initiative in a fast-paced environment
A minimum of three years' experience in a similar receptionist or customer service role
Previous veterinary experience, although an advantage, is not essential. What is important is a genuine passion for providing excellent client service, a willingness to embrace a steep learning curve, and, of course, a genuine love of animals!
This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and growing veterinary Practice at an exciting time in its development.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
