About the role
The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced HPE Curriculum Leader (Primary School) to lead the quality and development of a holistic, all-round education offering at ICB, and nurture students with integrity and ethics to help them achieve their full potential. You will lead the delivery of Health and Physical Education curriculum programs in conjunction with the Chief Learning Officer, and coordinate the Primary Sporting events in conjunction with the Head of Primary School and Sports Coordinator. This is a position of added responsibility, undertaken alongside classroom teaching duties. The role commences in 2027.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Primary HPE curriculum in alignment with ACARA and College requirements.
Develop and coordinate the Sports programs to enhance student participation and achievement.
Plan and oversee school carnivals, inter-school competitions, and College-wide sports events.
Collaborate with the Sports Academy team to ensure sport events and programs consistency across year levels.
Manage sports facilities, resources, and WHS compliance for all physical activities.
Promote a positive sporting culture focused on teamwork, sportsmanship, and wellbeing.
Liaise with staff, parents, and community partners to strengthen student opportunities in sport and fitness.
Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Education (specialising in HPE or Sports Science preferred).
Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
Demonstrated experience coordinating school sporting programs or HPE curriculum.
Proven ability to organise large-scale events such as sports carnivals or inter-school competitions.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
Commitment to promoting the College’s Islamic ethos, values, and holistic approach to student development.
