About the Role

We're looking for reliable, organised and enthusiastic people who enjoy working in fast-paced food service environments.

As a School Canteen Supervisor, you'll lead the day-to-day operation of a school canteen, support your team and ensure excellent food quality and customer service.

As a School Canteen Operator, you'll prepare fresh food, serve students and staff, maintain food safety standards and help keep the canteen running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps and hot food

• Providing friendly customer service

• Processing cash and EFTPOS sales

• Maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards

• Ordering stock and managing deliveries

• Leading and supporting staff (Supervisor roles)

• Creating a welcoming environment for students and school staff

We're Looking For People Who:

• Have hospitality, café, canteen or food service experience

• Thrive in busy service environments

• Enjoy working independently and as part of a team

• Have excellent customer service skills

• Take pride in producing quality food

• Are reliable, organised and punctual

• Have strong food safety and hygiene standards

Leadership experience is regarded for Supervisor positions.

Barista experience is an advantage but not essential.

Availability Requirements

School Canteen Supervisor roles

• Available Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 2:00pm during school terms.

School Canteen Operator roles

• Available to work regular casual shifts during school terms, with flexible hours available.

You will also require:

• Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle

• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

• RRHAN-EC Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
