Experienced Dental Assistant – Certificate IV

The TLC Dentist is looking for an experienced and highly organised Dental Assistant with a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting to join our friendly team in Earlwood.

We are a busy, modern 2-chair dental practice with a strong focus on providing high-quality dentistry and an exceptional patient experience. We’re looking for someone experienced who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a close-knit team and can confidently support our clinicians in the day-to-day running of the practice.

The Position

This is a full-time, 4-day-per-week position, offering a great opportunity to enjoy a three-day weekend while still working full-time hours.

Hours:
Monday to Thursday
8:00am – 6:00pm

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Chairside assisting across a range of general dental procedures

• Preparing surgeries and ensuring smooth changeovers between patients

• Sterilisation and infection control procedures

• Instrument processing, tracking and maintenance

• Taking dental radiographs within your Certificate IV scope

• Maintaining accurate clinical and sterilisation records

• Stock management and ordering

• Supporting clinicians to keep appointments running efficiently

• Providing a warm, professional and reassuring experience for our patients

• Assisting with the general organisation and smooth running of the practice

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting

• Has previous dental assisting experience

• Has excellent knowledge of current infection control and sterilisation protocols

• Is confident, organised and able to work efficiently in a busy environment

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Is reliable, punctual and takes initiative

• Has strong attention to detail

• Enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team

• Takes genuine pride in maintaining a clean, organised and professional clinical environment

Experience with orthodontics/Invisalign would be highly regarded but is not essential.
