Job Description
Join us as a Senior Façade Consultant in our Melbourne Facades and Sustainability team! You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality façade consulting services, including design, detailing, engineering, documentation, specification, project administration and construction & site quality assurance oversight activities. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile and challenging projects across a diverse range of project sectors. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team environment with the opportunity to work with and lead more junior staff and receive mentoring from experienced colleagues.
You will also be responsible for:
Delivering and overseeing façade design services, including concept development, detailed design, documentation, research and analysis, specifications and construction phase supportManagement of complex projects to ensure the efficient, profitable and high‑quality delivery, including technical strategy, resourcing, risk management, fee support and internal & external coordinationFinancial management of projects via project budgeting, cost control, invoicing oversight, debtor follow‑up and review of financial performanceManage client relationships and contribute to business development activities by supporting proposals, presentations as requiredMentor junior engineers and consultants to foster a collaborative, safe, supportive and high‑performing team culture
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering (Structural, civil) or Architectural discipline. Demonstrated experience in façade consulting disciplineDemonstrated experience designing and delivering complex façade projects, including window wall, curtain wall, glazing, cladding and masonry systemsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting programme, budget and quality requirementsExperience providing technical leadership on projects, including mentoring junior colleagues and reviewing technical outputsProven understanding of façade performance requirements including structural behaviour, weatherproofing, durability, thermal performance, acoustics and constructabilityStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA collaborative mindset and ambition to consistently achieve high standards of work for clientsMotivated to grow professionally
