The Opportunity:
The Green Energy Directorate is seeking an experienced Environmental Officer to support the assessment and approval of major green energy developments across Western Australia. This permanent opportunity offers the chance to contribute to the State's transition to a sustainable, low-carbon future through the delivery of robust environmental advice and regulatory outcomes.
In this role, you will assess complex proposals, provide scientific and technical advice, and support informed environmental decision-making for projects that meet categories within the Green Energy Approvals Initiative. Working closely with industry, government agencies and other stakeholders, you will contribute to innovative assessment approaches and streamlined approval pathways for projects spanning renewable energy, hydrogen industries, critical minerals and green manufacturing.
