A unique opportunity to combine advanced ICU nursing with clinical education, leadership and professional development at one of Australia’s leading tertiary intensive care units. This role is temporary full-time or part-time for 12 months.

Education
As an ICU Clinical Facilitator, you will combine your advanced clinical expertise with education, mentorship and leadership to support nurses at all stages of their ICU journey. You'll provide bedside teaching, facilitate learning, contribute to quality improvement and help embed evidence-based practice across a complex tertiary ICU environment. You will:
Provide advanced clinical leadership and support in the care of complex ICU patients.Facilitate bedside teaching, orientation, mentorship and professional development for ICU nurses and students.Promote evidence-based practice through education, quality improvement, audits and clinical innovation.Support simulation-based and interprofessional learning across the ICU.
About You
You're an experienced ICU nurse who is passionate about clinical excellence and developing others. You bring confidence in complex clinical environments, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to education and professional leadership. You will have:
Advanced ICU expertise, confidently manage complex patients and apply critical thinking in high-acuity situations.Clinical education, translate knowledge into engaging bedside teaching, mentoring and learning experiences.Clinical leadership, demonstrate sound judgement, effective delegation, collaboration and professional accountability.Quality and improvement, contribute to evidence-based practice, clinical governance, research and continuous improvement.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
