Data & AI Governance Lead
Own data and AI governance for CBRE Pacific end to end
Newly created role with real authority
Hybrid/Sydney CBD, Land of the Gadigal People

The Opportunity:

Establish the governance frameworks, data quality standards and have responsibility for the AI controls that let the business scale its data and AI ambitions with confidence whilst enabling value.

Here's what you'll focus on:

Building and owning CBRE Pacific's data and AI governance framework, from policy to operating model
Setting data quality standards and establishing a data catalogue, business glossary and lineage capability
Develop and embed enterprise data governance frameworks and controls.
Establish governance approaches covering ownership, stewardship, privacy, retention and compliance requirements.
Embed data governance, policy and control requirements and embed security by design into solution designs.
Promote trusted and governed use of both structured and unstructured data across collaboration tools and repositories.
Identify and manage data risk, technical debt and fragmentation.
Owning AI and model governance, including model inventory, risk assessment and lifecycle controls for GenAI
Coordinating a network of data stewards across business units and functions

Your background:

10+ years in data governance, data management, privacy or technology risk and compliance, including leadership experience
Proven track record establishing governance frameworks in large, complex organisations
Deep knowledge of Australian and New Zealand privacy regulation and security requirements
Experience with AI and model governance, including the risks introduced by GenAI
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior leadership level
Relevant certifications (CIPP, CDMP/DAMA, CISA or equivalent) highly regarded
