SERVICE ADVISOR - Automotive

About the role

We are seeking a Service Advisor to join the team at CKD Automotive in Brookvale, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving business success within our automotive service department. As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between our customers and our technical team, ensuring every vehicle receives the attention it deserves whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction. This role is based on-site at our Brookvale location and is essential to the smooth operation of our service department.

Key responsibilities

1. Greeting customers professionally and conducting thorough consultations to understand their vehicle service and repair requirements

2. Preparing detailed work orders and quotations, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all documentation

3. Communicating with customers regarding service progress, costs and any additional work requirements, maintaining transparency throughout the process

4. Scheduling service appointments and managing the workflow to optimise technician productivity and customer convenience

5. Explaining technical issues and repair recommendations to customers in an understandable manner, addressing any concerns or questions

6. Processing payments and managing invoicing, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly

7. Following up with customers post-service to confirm satisfaction and gather feedback

8. Maintaining knowledge of vehicle makes, models and common service requirements

9. Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues in the service department

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing automotive role

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers from diverse backgrounds

3. Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail in managing multiple appointments and work orders

4. Proficiency with automotive service management systems and computer software

5. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repairs and common automotive terminology

6. Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage customer concerns with professionalism and empathy

7. A valid Australian driver's licence

8. Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to delivering consistent service standards

9. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies

10. Preferred: Experience with specific vehicle brands or advanced automotive knowledge
