About The Role
As a Procurement Specialist – Non-Clinical, you will play an important role in supporting Calvary’s national Procurement and Supply Chain function. You’ll help deliver category strategies and sourcing activities across Calvary’s indirect and non-clinical spend portfolio.
Working closely with Category Managers, you’ll provide sourcing, analytical and contract administration support, while helping ensure procurement activities are efficient, compliant and aligned with governance requirements.
This is a great opportunity to build your procurement capability, with the chance to progressively take ownership of lower-complexity sourcing activities. You’ll also contribute to maintaining high standards of data quality, governance and procurement practices across the non-clinical category team.
Your main duties will include:
Commit to comply with the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards and Calvary policies and procedures related to creating a culture of safety and wellbeing for children and adults at risk.Support Category Managers in the preparation and execution of sourcing activities including RFQs, RFTs, market soundings and supplier evaluations.Prepare procurement documentation including specification templates, evaluation matrices, bid comparison summaries, recommendation reports and contract briefs.Manage lower-value and less complex sourcing activities end-to-end under the guidance of a Category Manager, in accordance with Calvary's procurement policy.Assist with contract administration including contract loading, variation tracking, expiry and renewal management, and supplier correspondence.Liaise with operational stakeholders across Calvary's sites to gather requirements, respond to procurement queries and support roll-out of new contracts.Maintain accurate and current data in Calvary's procurement and contract management systems.Contribute to spend analysis, savings tracking and category reporting as directed by the Category Manager.
Essential
About you
Minimum 3 years' experience in a procurement, supply chain, commercial or contract administration role – preferably in non-clinical categoriesDemonstrated ability to support sourcing processes, prepare procurement documentation and manage competing priorities.Strong organisational skills with the ability to work accurately under deadline pressure.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Desirable
Tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, business or a related discipline, or currently enrolled.CIPS membership or study towards qualification.Experience in healthcare, aged care or a multi-site service environment.Exposure to procurement or ERP systems.
