Chief Radiographer

Illawarra Radiology Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Chief Radiographer to lead our Dapto practice. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Radiographer who is passionate about leadership, patient care, and fostering a positive team culture.

As Chief Radiographer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of the practice working closely with the Office Supervisor to ensure the delivery of exceptional diagnostic imaging services while supporting and developing a dedicated team of professionals.

About the role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work collaboratively with Radiologists, Office Supervisor and clinical staff to ensure the smooth operation of the practice while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety and service.

 Key responsibilities of this role include:

•  Provide high level of leadership and motivation to all staff

• Maintain open and consistent channels of communication between Radiologists, Clerical staff, Radiographers, Sonographers and Referrers

• Regular liaison with the Office Supervisor for effective problem solving between work areas to ensure the delivery of high-quality service and care to patients

• Perform radiography examinations in accordance with business protocols and ethics to ensure service delivery standards are consistently met

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

• Minimum 5 years radiography experience with demonstrated hands-on experience in a Chief Radiographer, Senior Radiographer or equivalent leadership role, with responsibility for managing and leading technical staff in a clinical imaging environment

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with excellent communication skills

• Excellent knowledge of, and technical competence in general X-ray and CT, experience in MRI or Ultrasound will be highly regarded

• Strong patient focus and problem-solving abilities

• Flexibility to attend manager meetings and training as required
