Position OverviewGoldmate is currently seeking a detail-oriented and driven Part Time Branch Member Level 1 Staff member (15.2 Hours a week) to join our Foreign Exchange Branch Team in Haymarket and Auburn (NSW). This role offers an exceptional opportunity who have a keen interest in customer services, regulatory compliance, and client management. The successful candidate will provide crucial support in face-to-face currency exchange and remittance transactions, client onboarding, and branch-head office coordination to maintain operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct face-to-face foreign currency exchange and international remittance transactions in accordance with company proceduresHandle cash transactions involving AUD and multiple foreign currencies with a high level of accuracy and integrityPerform customer onboarding, including collection and verification of KYC documentation (e.g. passport, driver licence)Accurately input and process transactions using internal systems and platformsProvide professional and courteous customer service to walk-in clients and respond to enquiries via phone, email and messaging platforms.Complete end-of-day cash balancing, transaction reconciliation, and basic branch reportingMaintain proper records, forms, and documentation to support audit and compliance requirementsLiaise with Head Office and Compliance teams as required, including escalating unusual or suspicious transactionsAdhere strictly to AUSTRAC-aligned AML/CTF and KYC procedures (training provided)Support general branch operations and administration, including filing and housekeeping duties
Essential QualificationsFluent English communication skills (spoken and written), equivalent to IELTS 7.0 or above. Ability to communicate in Mandarin, given the nature of our clienteleRight to work in Australia, student visa holders encouraged to applyStrong attention to detail with a high level of honesty and integrity, particularly when handling cash and sensitive informationCustomer-focused mindset with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressureAbility to follow procedures and comply with regulatory and internal control requirementsWillingness to work across branches with flexible shift arrangements
Preferred (but not essential)· Prior experience in customer service or cash-handling roles
Shift Hours· Available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 9:30 AM-5:36 PM (30 minutes break).
