Play an important role in helping deliver safe, efficient and high-quality patient care across the hospital. In this hands-on and rewarding role, you'll support patient comfort and safety through patient transport, equipment movement, ward support services and essential operational tasks that help clinical teams deliver exceptional care every day.
Support patient care through the safe transport of patients using beds, trolleys and wheelchairs. Assist clinical teams with patient transfers, mobilisation and equipment set-up activities. Contribute to a clean, safe environment by responding to spills and cleaning patient care equipment. Ensure essential supplies, equipment and oxygen services are stocked, stored and readily available. Help maintain efficient hospital operations through the transport of documents, specimens, furniture and medical equipment.

As a Wardsperson, you’ll be the link between care and comfort— transporting patients with compassion, handling essential equipment and supplies, and supporting nursing teams with precision and care. From lifting and positioning patients using specialized techniques to managing spills, waste, and oxygen supplies, your work ensures safety, dignity, and efficiency across the ward. It’s hands-on, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding. Whether you're navigating complex workloads, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team or delivering urgent blood products to critically ill patients, you’ll be part of a support stream that transforms patient experiences.

We're looking for a reliable and motivated team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You'll thrive in this role if you're committed to safety, patient-centred service and supporting colleagues across multiple departments while confidently managing competing priorities and responding to the changing needs of a busy hospital setting.
Demonstrated experience providing hospital support services, including portering, cleaning or healthcare assistants. Strong communication and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Experience using manual handling equipment and applying safe patient handling techniques. Professional, trustworthy and committed to maintaining confidentiality and workplace safety standards.
