Nas Recovery Centre
About the role
Build Something That Matters. Lead With Purpose. Shape the Future.
It's an opportunity to help build one of Australia's first culturally responsive Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) recovery organisations dedicated to supporting African Australian and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
As our Founding Team Leader, you won't be stepping into an established organisation with fixed systems and processes. You'll be joining at the beginning of an exciting journey—working alongside the CEO to build a high-performing organisation that genuinely changes lives.
If you've ever wanted the opportunity to shape an organisation, influence strategy, create systems, mentor staff and be recognised as a key leader, this role offers exactly that.
This is a rare opportunity to join a purpose-driven start-up where your ideas, leadership and expertise will genuinely influence the future of the organisation.
You'll enjoy:
The satisfaction of helping create culturally responsive services that make a genuine difference in people's lives.
NAS Recovery Centre is a new, community-led organisation committed to transforming recovery outcomes for African Australian and other culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Through culturally safe Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), mental health and community support services, we work alongside individuals, families and communities to build hope, strengthen wellbeing and create pathways to recovery.
Our flagship Path2Home program provides culturally responsive early intervention, prevention and outpatient support, ensuring people receive care that respects their culture, identity and lived experience.
Our vision is ambitious—and we're looking for leaders who want to grow with us.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will become the organisation's first senior operational leader.
This is a unique blend of leadership, service delivery and organisational development.
You'll lead our growing multidisciplinary team while helping establish the systems, culture and operational excellence that will underpin the future success of NAS Recovery Centre.
This role is ideal for an experienced leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, mentoring people and helping organisations grow.
You will:
We're looking for someone who thrives in environments where they can build, improve and lead.
You'll bring:
Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to help build an organisation from the ground up.
NAS Recovery Centre values diversity, equity and inclusion.
We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, African Australian communities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with lived experience, and people of all genders, faiths, abilities and identities.
If you don't meet every selection criterion but believe you can make a significant contribution to our organisation, we encourage you to apply.
If you're an experienced leader looking for more than just another management role—if you want to shape an organisation, influence strategy and help create lasting change—we'd love to hear from you.
