Roadhouse Allrounders

About the role
The Shire of Murchison is seeking experienced Roadhouse Allrounders to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment in Murchison, Western Australia. As a Roadhouse Allounder, you will play a vital role in ensuring our roadhouse operations run smoothly, delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. This position is integral to creating a welcoming experience for our guests and maintaining the operational excellence that the Shire of Murchison is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning, tidying and maintaining all guest areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and common spaces to the highest standards

• Assist with food and beverage service, including taking orders, serving meals and clearing tables

• Support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal preparation and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards

• Manage laundry operations, including washing, ironing and folding linens and guest items

• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, toiletries and other consumables, reporting when stock requires replenishment

• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, providing courteous and helpful customer service

• Ensure all areas comply with health, safety and hygiene regulations

• Assist with general maintenance tasks and grounds upkeep as required

• Work flexibly to support all operational areas of the roadhouse as needed

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in housekeeping, hospitality or hospitality support roles

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanour

• Physical fitness and ability to lift, bend and stand for extended periods

• Flexibility and willingness to assist across multiple areas of the roadhouse operations

• Knowledge of health and safety protocols and food handling practices

• Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic

• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required

• Relevant certifications such as Food Safety, First Aid or hospitality qualifications are advantageous
