We're on the lookout for a front of house hospitality professional, with experience behind the coffee machine and in leadership positions, to join our brand new deli opening in Chapel St, Prahran.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead Barista (Front of House Supervisor)

A key part of the deli floor operation, supporting the Management team in delivering an exceptional guest experience every service.

You'll lead and train team members across all FOH sections — till operation, hosting, floor and coffee — while upholding the service standards and culture Hector's is known for. Strong barista skills are a must.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be on the floor, coaching in real time, and holding the standard every service. At times, you'll step into shift management responsibilities in the absence of the Manager or Assistant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and training new and existing team members across the FOH

• Upholding service, product quality and presentation standards in line with our SOPs

• Supporting opening and closing procedures

• Managing team deployment and stock orders when acting in a shift management capacity

• Maintaining accurate documentation including food safety and wastage records

• Ensuring a clean, safe and compliant operation

• Contributing to a positive, high-performing team culture

ABOUT YOU

• Proven experience in a similar high-volume FOH or café role

• Strong barista experience — essential

• Exceptional guest service and communication skills

• Natural leader with a warm, professional presence on the floor

• Calm, efficient and consistent under pressure

• Clear communicator who leads by example
