Storeman / Auctioneers Assistant

Raffan, Kelaher & Thomas is looking for a Full-time Warehouse person / Auctioneer's Assistant to join our busy Auction Warehouse team.

Raffan, Kelaher & Thomas is one of Australia's leading fine art and general auctioneers and valuers, selling art, collectables, antiques and jewellery every week in our Leichhardt saleroom.

This Full-time (Monday -Friday 8am-4:30pm & one Saturday per month 9am-12noon) position offers the right candidate an excellent introduction into the world of auctions.

The right candidate for this busy physical role will be physically fit, have the ability to take direction, work as a team, take initiative and work autonomously, have an attention to detail, work under pressure and have an excellent customer service attitude.

Responsibilities include (primarily) safely unloading incoming stock, manual handling, manoeuvring stock, stock control, face to face customer service with Vendors & Customers, with photography, set up of weekly sales, lotting stock, cataloguing stock and ad-hoc duties as required.

Experience with physical work , furniture removal, computer skills (training will be provided in using our Stock Management System), experience in other warehouse roles and an appreciation of all things pre-loved would be valuable.
