Senior Accountant

WorkTrybe is partnering with our client to find an experienced Senior Accountant for an immediate 4 week contract. This is a hands on opportunity to support a busy finance team through a critical period, assisting with audit activities, an accounting system migration, and the redevelopment of the organisation's consolidated reporting pack.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll provide senior level accounting support across several key finance projects, including:

• Supporting the external audit process and preparing audit schedules and reconciliations.
• Assisting with the migration to a new accounting system, including data validation and testing.
• Rebuilding and enhancing the consolidated management reporting pack.
• Preparing month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting financial reporting.
• Identifying process improvements and helping strengthen finance reporting and controls.
• Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure project deadlines are achieved.

About You
 
To be successful, you'll bring:

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or Financial Accountant in a commercial environment.
• Strong audit support experience with a solid understanding of financial reporting standards.
• Previous exposure to accounting system implementations or ERP migrations.
• Experience preparing or redesigning consolidated reporting packs and management reports.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and reconcile large volumes of financial data.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
