Quest St Kilda Bayside is seeking a Receptionist / Guest Service Agent to join its high energy, diverse and dedicated team on a part-time basis.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, able to work efficiently and help ensure our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming stay.

The Role

Involves all aspects of front office reception, including providing friendly, personalized customer service in responding to accommodation enquiries, promoting the business to achieve accommodation sales, processing reservations and ensuring full and accurate data capture, assisting corporate and leisure guests (e.g. check in, explaining hotel facilities and location, check out), and ensuring the smooth running of the reception desk.

The Ideal Candidate

Will demonstrate a passion for customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all guests, strong skills in promoting and selling accommodation services and facilities, excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, experience with front office booking systems, a keen eye for detail, high standards of personal presentation, and a highly team orientated ethos.

Previous front office reception experience in a hospitality, travel or tourism environment would be highly regarded, as would other types of customer facing roles e.g. retail.

The successful applicant must be available to work early morning, afternoon shifts, weekends and public holidays, and have entitlements to work in Australia.

Responsibilities:

• Manage customer bookings on PMS platform

• Attend to guest requests and requirements and ensure issues resolved promptly

• Manage guest check-in and check-out processes to ensure seamless guest experience

• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to relevant teams (Maintenance & housekeeping)

• Follow health & safety guidelines

• Able to multi-task, work independently and prioritise tasks when required

• Provide friendly and courteous service to guests when interacting
  

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years' experience in a customer service or hospitality role (front office experience preferred)

• Experience with any hotel Property Management System (PMS) is compulsory preferably in RMS

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional approach

• Excellent time management and organisational abilities

• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel Property Management Systems (PMS)

• Proactive and taking initiative plus having a keen eye for detail

• Experience handling cash and processing payments

• A strong commitment to delivering outstanding guest service

• Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

• Minimum availability of 1-2 shifts per week on rotating roster

• Full working rights in Australia
  

Schedule:

• Weekdays, Weekends and holidays may be required depending on roster

• Working hours | 7am - 10pm
