Medical Receptionist / Admin Assistant

Due to continued growth, we are looking to welcome Medical Receptionist to our reception team.

The successful applicant will have previous experience working with Best Practice. You will also be self motivated, reliable and be a fast learner with enthusiasm in offering exceptional patient service and care.

A minimum of 2+ years of medical receptionist experience is required for this position.

Remuneration is based on experience and level of duty required.

The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday but must be available to cover weekends if required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting patients

• Answering incoming calls

• Processing accounts

• Scanning, faxing and emailing.

• Managing confidential practice correspondence either electronically or paper based.

• Managing the Doctors and Nurses appointments

• Australian permanent residency or equivalent work rights are required

• Demonstrated experience with medical software systems is essential

Desired Criteria:

• Previous experience as a Medical or Allied Health receptionist

• Best Practice Software Knowledge

• Exceptional understanding of Medicare billing, mixed billing and compliance of Medicare.

• Current CPR Certificate

• Current National Police Clearance

• Ability to prioritise and organise effectively in a busy environment

• Excellent communication and attention to detail skills

• Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude

• Minimum of 2 years experience
