About the role
Welcome to the Australian Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. At our core, we are committed to sharing the Gospel and serving our communities with compassion, integrity, and purpose. As the administrative hub of the Church in Australia, we provide strategic leadership, operational support, and spiritual guidance to empower our conferences, institutions, and ministries to proclaim the everlasting Gospel.
Mamarapha College is a vital part of this mission. As a nationally accredited post-secondary training institution, Mamarapha offers courses in Pastoral Ministry, Indigenous Ministry, Leadership, and Health Promotion. The College is dedicated to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, fostering a culturally safe and spiritually enriching environment that promotes healing, growth, and practical service. Our graduates are equipped to lead with wisdom, serve with humility, and make a lasting impact in their communities.
If you are someone who values faith, unity, and excellence in service, and you’re eager to contribute to a team that’s transforming lives—we invite you to express your interest in joining us. Together, we can build a future grounded in hope, learning, and Gospel-centered leadership.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a full-time Course Coordinator – Ministry at Mamarapha College.
This is a spiritually significant and professionally rewarding role. As Course Coordinator, you will oversee and guide students enrolled in pastoral and ministerial programs, supporting their academic progress, spiritual formation, and practical readiness for ministry. Why You’d Love Working With Us:
A close-knit, caring, and supportive team environment
Flexible work arrangements to support wellbeing and balance
Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services for you and your immediate family
Opportunities for professional development and career growth
A chance to contribute meaningfully to Indigenous ministry and faith-based education
A spiritually enriching workplace where your faith and leadership can flourish
If you’re passionate about education, organisation, and leading in ministry, we would love to hear from you.
To thrive in this role, you will be a practicing and committed member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with an active relationship with Jesus Christ and a deep desire to worship and serve God.
In addition, we are looking for someone who brings:
Relevant qualifications in theology, ministry, education, or a related field
Experience in teaching, mentoring, or ministry (e.g. Bible worker, church elder, ordained/commissioned minister)
Willingness to obtain a TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment if not already held
Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and a deep understanding of Indigenous cultures across Australia
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and relationship-building
Strong professional writing and public speaking abilities
High-level administrative and digital literacy skills
Proven leadership and teamwork capabilities in a multi-disciplinary environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
Integrity, confidentiality, and a professional manner that reflects the values of the Church
Sound knowledge of Church policies and operations within the Australian Union Conference and South Pacific Division
