A-Grade Solar & Battery Electrician – Full-Time In-House Role

Join an established solar company building its own internal installation team.

Sunrise Innovations is looking for an experienced A-Grade Solar & Battery Electrician to join our business as a permanent, in-house team member.

This is an important hire for our business.

We have a strong and growing pipeline of residential solar and battery installations across Melbourne and Victoria, and we are now investing in building our own internal installation capability.

We are not looking for another subcontract crew.

We are looking for an experienced solar electrician who wants to become a key part of an established renewable energy business, take ownership of high-quality installations and help us build an exceptional internal installation team around them.

The Role

You will initially work hands-on across residential solar PV and battery installations throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas.

As our internal installation division grows, there is genuine opportunity for the right person to progress into a Leading Hand / Installation Supervisor position and play a major role in developing and leading additional internal crews.

Your work will include:

• Residential solar PV installations

• Battery energy storage system installations

• Hybrid inverter installations and upgrades

• Switchboard and associated electrical works

• System commissioning and testing

• Fault finding and rectification

• Completing compliant installation documentation

• Working with our operations team to deliver installations efficiently and professionally

• Maintaining excellent workmanship, safety and compliance standards

• Assisting with the development and mentoring of apprentices and additional installers as the internal team grows

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence

• Current Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation for grid-connected PV

• Current SAA battery accreditation / endorsement

• Demonstrated experience installing residential solar PV systems

• Demonstrated experience installing battery storage systems

• Strong knowledge of current Australian Standards and Victorian electrical requirements

• Experience commissioning solar inverters and battery systems

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• White Card

• Current Australian driver's licence

• A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

• Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers

Experience with leading an installation crew, supervising apprentices or managing installations will be highly regarded.

Qualifications are essential, but so is attitude.

We want someone who takes pride in their installations, doesn't cut corners and wants the job completed properly.

You should be comfortable taking responsibility for an installation, communicating with customers and working closely with our operations team.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants more than simply turning up, completing an install and going home.
