Facility Supervisor
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Facility Supervisor to oversee the handling, grading, packing, storage and dispatch of nursery products at Monbulk RTS Farm. The role will ensure products are handled correctly and meet customer, quality and dispatch requirements.
Key responsibilities
Assess incoming products for quality and determine grading and staffing requirements.
Monitor product quality throughout washing, grading, packing and dispatch.
Identify and address issues relating to grading quality, product damage or incorrect handling.
Ensure products are packed, labelled and prepared in accordance with customer orders.
Maintain appropriate storage and temperature-control procedures where required.
Liaise with the Maintenance Manager and Dispatch Manager.
Ensure quality assurance records are accurate and products remain fully traceable.
Supervise and train employees in grading, packing, hygiene and standard operating procedures.
Ensure damaged, rejected and waste products are handled in accordance with company procedures.
Monitor workflow and assist in resolving production, equipment and dispatch issues.
Skills & Experience
Relevant AQF Certificate III or IV qualification, or equivalent; or
At least three years of relevant experience with formal training; or
At least five years of relevant experience.
Experience in nursery, horticultural, grading, packing or facility operations.
Experience supervising and training employees.
Knowledge of product quality, packing and dispatch procedures.
Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work effectively in a busy horticultural environment.
Horticulture Grower
We are seeking an experienced Horticulture Growers to plan, coordinate and oversee the production of roses and other nursery stock at Monbulk RTS Farm. The role will ensure crops are grown, maintained, harvested and prepared in accordance with production targets, quality standards and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities
Plan and coordinate crop production from soil preparation and planting through to harvesting, packing and dispatch.
Select and plant seeds, seedlings, cuttings and rootstock, and undertake grafting and propagation activities.
Monitor crop growth and maintain suitable growing conditions, including irrigation, nutrition, temperature and soil conditions.
Oversee pruning, de-budding, cultivating, staking and other crop-maintenance activities.
Monitor plant health and coordinate fertilising, pest, disease and weed-control programs.
Plan production schedules to meet customer orders, seasonal requirements and market demand.
Maintain records relating to planting, crop treatments, production yields, quality and other farming activities.
Ensure equipment, irrigation systems and growing areas are properly maintained.
Train and supervise employees in crop production, plant care and safe work procedures.
Monitor environmental conditions, manage crop risks and ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed.
Skills and Experience
Relevant AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV qualification, or equivalent; or
At least three years of employment experience as a Horticulture Grower with relevant formal training; or
At least five years of employment experience as a Horticulture Grower with no formal training.
Experience in nursery, flower or horticultural crop production.
Knowledge of plant propagation, pruning, irrigation, fertilising and pest control.
Ability to identify plant-health and crop-quality issues.
Experience planning and coordinating horticultural production activities.
Ability to supervise and train employees.
Good organisational, problem-solving and record-keeping skills.
Strong attention to quality and workplace safety.
Irrigationist
We are seeking an experienced Irrigationist to install, operate and maintain irrigation systems used in the production of roses and other nursery stock at Monbulk RTS Farm. The role will ensure crops receive appropriate water levels and irrigation systems operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Determine irrigation requirements and hydraulic parameters for nursery and horticultural production areas.
Implement irrigation programs based on crop needs, weather conditions and production schedules.
Schedule and monitor irrigation activities to maintain appropriate soil moisture and plant health.
Select, operate and manage pumps, valves, filters and other irrigation equipment.
Interpret and apply irrigation plans, layouts and technical specifications.
Supervise the installation and testing of irrigation systems and components.
Inspect irrigation systems and identify leaks, blockages, pressure issues and equipment faults.
Coordinate repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance of irrigation systems.
Maintain records of irrigation schedules, water usage, maintenance and repairs.
Ensure irrigation activities comply with workplace health and safety and water-management procedures.
Skills and Experience
a relevant AQF Certificate II qualification, or equivalent, and at least one year of relevant post-qualification experience working at least 20 hours per week; or
at least two years of relevant full-time experience working at least 38 hours per week.

Forklift Driver
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to safely move nursery products, pallets, crates, cartons and other materials throughout Monbulk RTS Farm. The role will support production, storage, order preparation and dispatch operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts to load, unload, move, stack and unstack pallets, crates and horticultural products.
Transport products and materials to designated production, storage and dispatch areas.
Ensure goods are stored safely in the correct locations and can be easily identified for customer orders.
Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles and preparing products for dispatch.
Check loads to ensure they are secure and handled without damage.
Inspect forklifts before use and report any faults, damage or safety concerns.
Monitor forklift performance through controls, gauges and warning indicators.
Carry out basic cleaning, servicing and minor adjustments where authorised.
Maintain accurate movement, storage and dispatch records where required.
Follow workplace health and safety, traffic-management and operating procedures.
Skills and Experience
a relevant AQF Certificate II qualification, or equivalent, and at least 1.5 years of relevant post-qualification experience working at least 20 hours per week or
a relevant AQF Certificate III qualification, or equivalent, and at least one year of relevant post-qualification experience working at least 20 hours per week or
at least two years of relevant full-time experience working at least 38 hours per week.
A current and valid High Risk Work Licence to operate a forklift.
Experience operating forklifts in a nursery, warehouse, production or dispatch environment.
Knowledge of safe loading, stacking and material-handling practices.
Good spatial awareness and attention to detail.
Ability to identify equipment faults and safety risks.
A reliable and safety-focused approach to work.
