Accountant - Intermediate

Our firm is a friendly, dynamic and progressive boutique CPA Accounting Practice located in Northbridge, providing taxation, SMSF, business services and bookkeeping services to our diverse range of clients.

We are seeking an intermediate level accountant with minimum 2 years’ experience to join our team to assist us with the growth of clients in our busy practice.

This position is available on either a full-time basis (5 days per week) or a part-time basis (4 days per week), depending on the successful candidate's preferences and availability.

Primary Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Preparation of income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, and SMSFs

• Preparation of annual financial statements

• Preparation of management reports and financial analyses

• Preparation of monthly/quarterly business activity statements and other compliance obligations

• Ad-hoc office/administration duties as required

The Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and relevant taxation legislation

• Experience using MYOB, Xero and HandiSoft an advantage

• Excellent multi-tasking, time management and written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting role

• CPA Australia or Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) qualification, or currently working towards professional accreditation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline from a recognised university
