Perfect Contracting is seeking a capable and motivated Project Engineer to join our growing project delivery team in Sydney.

This is a strong opportunity for a Project Engineer who wants to be involved in practical, hands-on civil, demolition, remediation, and construction-related works, supporting the successful delivery of complex projects across Sydney.

We work with tier-one builders, government clients, commercial contractors, and major project stakeholders, and we are looking for someone who can bring strong technical, coordination, and communication skills to our team.

About the Role

As a Project Engineer, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil and construction projects from pre-start through to completion. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, supervisors, subcontractors, clients, engineers, and internal teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to specification.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the action, understands site realities, and can balance engineering detail with practical project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, programming, and coordinating civil works across multiple project stages.

• Support Project Managers with project delivery, documentation, cost tracking, procurement, and reporting.

• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and technical requirements.

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.

• Prepare and manage RFIs, ITPs, SWMS, quality records, site documentation, and project correspondence.

• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and assist with resolving site and technical issues.

• Support safety, quality, environmental, and compliance requirements across all works.

• Assist with variations, claims, progress reports, and project close-out documentation.

• Build strong working relationships with clients, engineers, supervisors, and site teams.

• Promote Perfect Contracting’s values of Safety, Positivity, and Care in daily project delivery.

About You

You are organised, commercially aware, technically capable, and confident working with both office-based project teams and site crews. You can communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and keep projects moving in a busy construction environment.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, or similar role within civil construction, demolition, remediation, infrastructure, or building-related works.

• Strong understanding of construction methodology, site coordination, and project documentation.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Good knowledge of safety, quality, environmental, and compliance requirements.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Good attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/document control systems.

• A valid driver licence.

• White Card.

Experience with demolition, remediation, structural works, concrete works, or complex construction environments will be highly regarded.
