Experienced Chef

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team. This position reports directly to the Head Chef and is suited to someone passionate about food, works well in a busy environment, and is flexible to work day and evening shifts as rostered.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Work closely with and report directly to the Head Chef.
• Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage, and minimising food wastage.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen workspace.
• Work efficiently during busy breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
• Support other kitchen team members when required.
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef and contribute positively to the kitchen team.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience working as a Chef in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
• Be confident working in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Have strong food preparation and cooking skills.
• Be reliable, punctual, organised, and able to work as part of a team.
• Have a good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Be able to work independently when required.
• Have good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Be flexible and willing to work both day and evening shifts as rostered, including weekends and public holidays when required.
