About the Opportunity

Our school seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join our English Faculty. We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, a love of language and literature, and a genuine commitment to supporting student growth. We warmly welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their career, from those just entering the profession to those with more experience.

This role is permanent full time commencing in Term 1, 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to teach English across all stages.
• Create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical practices.
• Develop and maintain collegial relationships within and beyond the faculty.
• Demonstrate a commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing of young women.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• A qualified secondary English teacher with a strong understanding of the syllabus requirements and current NESA accreditation.

• Be confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom and committed to improving educational outcomes.
• Outstanding planning and organising skills, with strong attention to detail.
• All staff members at Loreto Normanhurst must participate in the Loreto Normanhurst Student Growth Model, which may mean being part of an Integrated Learning Team.
• Ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement.
