About the Role
St Patrick’s College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full- Time English Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive teaching team.
This is a full-time position commencing in Week 1 of Term 4, 2026 with room for flexibility for the right candidate to start Week 1, Term 1 2027. The successful applicant will be required to teach English across Years 7–12 and contribute positively to the academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the College.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
· Upholding the mission, values and Child Protection commitments of the College.
· Delivering engaging and effective English programs across Years 7–12
· Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement and wellbeing
· Developing and implement curriculum and assessment programs in collaboration with faculty colleagues
· Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students
· Monitoring, assessing and reporting on student progress in accordance with college requirements
· Fostering students' literacy, critical thinking and communication skills
· Working collaboratively with colleagues, Year Coordinators and Learning Support staff
· Maintaining effective communication with parents and carers regarding student learning and wellbeing
· Supporting the pastoral care, co-curricular and community life of the College
· Participating in professional learning and ongoing curriculum development initiatives
About You
You are an enthusiastic educator who is committed to academic excellence, student growth and the mission of Catholic education.
You will bring:
Qualifications and accreditation to teach English in NSW secondary schools
Experience teaching English across secondary year levels, including Stage 6 (desirable)
A demonstrated ability to inspire and engage young women in learning
Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication, organisational and collaborative skills
A commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice
An understanding of and commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic education
A current NSW Working with Children Check
NESA Accreditation (or eligibility to obtain)
