With a strong focus on innovation, craftsmanship and manufacturing excellence, we are continuing to grow and are seeking an experienced Senior Quality & Improvements Engineer to join our Operations team at our state-of-the-art facility in Lonsdale, South Australia.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role will play an important part in improving manufacturing performance through quality engineering, process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Product Development teams to improve process capability, reduce variation, enhance product quality and deliver safer, more efficient manufacturing outcomes.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving problems, driving improvement and making a visible impact on operational performance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Leading continuous improvement and quality engineering initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Investigating process issues through structured problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Developing and maintaining quality systems, Process FMEAs, Control Plans and process controls.
• Analysing production, quality and defect data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Supporting process trials, validation activities and new improvement initiatives.
• Developing work instructions, inspection standards and technical documentation.
• Conducting quality audits and supporting compliance requirements.
• Coaching and supporting Production, Maintenance and Quality teams to embed a continuous improvement culture.

About You

We are looking for a practical, hands-on engineer who thrives in a manufacturing environment and is passionate about improving processes, quality and operational performance.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or quality engineering in a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, FMEA, Process Control Plans and structured problem solving.
• Ability to analyse data and translate insights into practical improvements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• A hands-on approach with a genuine continuous improvement mindset.

Not essential, but highly regarded experience:

• Six Sigma Green Belt qualification (Black Belt highly regarded).
• Experience within textile, automotive, defence or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
