This opportunity sits within a high-performing Private Business & Family Advisory division, offering the chance to work closely with select key clients in an internal management accounting capacity while gaining broader exposure to advisory, compliance and business operations. 

The Role: 

• Manage end-to-end month-end accounting processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and inter-group invoicing  

• Prepare and reconcile business and investment portfolio bank accounts  

• Complete month-end workpapers, reconciliations and management reporting  

• Process payroll including PAYG withholding, superannuation, payroll tax and redundancy obligations  

• Prepare BAS and IAS returns  

• Process supplier invoices and payment coordination  

• Manage client communication regarding financial information, reporting requests and month-end deliverables  

• Support broader advisory, compliance and business accounting functions as required  

About You: 

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Business or Commerce  

• 3–5+ years’ experience in professional services or relevant commercial accounting roles  

• Strong month-end accounting capability  

• Proven payroll processing and payroll compliance experience  

• Understanding of BAS, IAS and broader compliance obligations  

• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite or similar systems  

• Strong organisational skills and ability to work autonomously  

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability  

• High attention to detail with strong commercial problem-solving ability
