Head Chef at Rocky Ridge Burswood

Rocky Ridge is on the hunt for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at our Burswood venue.

We’re looking for a calm, capable, hands-on chef who can run a tight kitchen, build a great team, and help us deliver proper pub food with pace, consistency, strong processes and a bit of Rocky Ridge personality.

Burswood is a busy venue with a strong local following, great beer, good humans and a kitchen that needs someone who can take ownership of all facets.

As Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for running the kitchen day to day, including:

• Leading and training the kitchen team

• Maintaining high food quality and consistency

• Managing prep, service, ordering and stock control

• Keeping food costs, wastage and labour under control

• Working with the Venue Manager to drive specials, events and service standards

• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant

• Creating a positive, no-dickheads kitchen culture

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be on the pans, in the pass, helping the team, solving problems and making sure the food leaves the kitchen looking and tasting the way it should.

You’ll be a good fit if you:

• Have experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or strong senior chef ready to step up

• Can lead a team with calm focus, and clear communication

• Understand food cost, labour and stock control

• Are organised, reliable and calm under pressure

• Care about consistency, speed and presentation

• Like working in a venue that has fun but still takes standards seriously

• Enjoy beer, food, hospitality and building something with a bit of soul

• Are available to work Wednesday to Sunday

• A full-time leadership role with a consistent Wednesday to Sunday roster

• Monday and Tuesday off each week
