Disability Support Worker – Port Albert VIC

Eternal Support Services Pty Ltd is currently

seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced female Disability Support Worker to support an NDIS participant located in Port Albert, VIC.

The participant requires support on weekdays, Monday to Friday, with morning and afternoon shifts. We are looking for someone who can commence as soon as possible and provide consistent, person-centred support.

About the Role

The successful support worker will assist the participant with daily living and personal care while promoting independence, dignity, choice and comfort.

Current support needs include:

• Supervision and assistance with showering
• Assistance with hair washing and drying
• Assistance with dressing and personal care
• General in-home support and daily living activities
• Social support and companionship
• Supporting the participant to maintain independence where possible
• Following care instructions and reporting any changes in support needs
• Completing accurate shift notes and required documentation

The participant's support needs may increase over time, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable adapting to changing care requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Female support worker, in line with the participant's personal care preference
• Compassionate, patient and respectful
• Reliable and committed to regular ongoing shifts
• Comfortable providing personal care and showering assistance
• Experienced in disability, aged care, community services or a similar support role
• Able to recognise and appropriately report changes in a participant's needs
• A good communicator with a person-centred approach
• Available for morning and/or afternoon weekday shifts in Port Albert

Requirements

Applicants should have or be willing to obtain the relevant requirements for disability support work, including:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check where applicable
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable transport
• Relevant qualifications and/or disability support experience are highly regarded
