About the Role

We are currently seeking a compassionate and energetic Disability Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a participant located in the Warragul and Traralgon areas.

This role offers flexible work arrangements, including short shifts, ongoing daily support, and 24/7 care requirements, including sleepover shifts. We are looking for someone who is reliable, caring, and passionate about making a positive difference in the life of a participant by promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

The participant requires assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), personal care, meal preparation, light domestic duties, transportation, and social & community access.

This is a rewarding role for someone with a genuine passion for helping others and the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (toileting, showering, grooming, and hygiene assistance)
• Support with daily living activities and maintaining independence
• Assist with meal preparation, light household tasks, and cleaning
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Work collaboratively with the participant, their family, and the care team

About You

You are a caring and empathetic individual with strong communication skills. You treat others with dignity and respect, and you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people living with disability.

Qualifications & Requirements

✅ Certificate III/IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services or equivalent
✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check (mandatory)
✅ NDIS Worker Orientation Module
✅ Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
✅ Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
✅ National Police Check
✅ Working With Children Check
✅ Previous experience in disability support, aged care, community care or nursing
